On November 17th at GMV's headquarters in Spain, with presence of PERASPERA members, took place Test Readiness Review for rendezvous (RDV) experiments of technologies being developed in the EROSS+ project.
RDV tests were conducted on a specially prepared bench platform equipped with two robotic arms to simulate the rendezvous operations. On one was attached the satellite client mock-up, and on the other the functional servicer mock-up with the RDV sensors. The tests enabled to verify the correctness of Image Processing and GNC subsystems for rendezvous operations.
Yesterday (December 5th), took place Test Readiness Review for robotic technologies being developed in the EROSS+ project began at DLR headquarters in Germany.
During the tests, the DLR CAESAR arm, the Thales Alenia Space Italy vision system, the Space Application System HOTDOCK interface and the PIAP Space LAR GRIPPER are being integrated. The tests will allow final configuration of the equipment and preparation for the next stages of the project.
